We've got the answers

What is Tap to Pay for fundraising?

Tap to Pay for Fundraising lets you receive contactless donations using debit cards, credit cards, or mobile wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Say goodbye to traditional POS hardware—your team can process transactions on-site without the need for cash drawers or receipt printers. This streamlined solution speeds up donations and sales at events, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience for both organizers and attendees.

Who are Pebl?

Pebl was founded by Elliot Cohen and Schaan O’Hara in Sydney, Australia, with a mission to redefine mobile payments. As a proudly Australian-owned company, we operate locally, helping businesses accept payments easily using just their phone—no extra hardware needed.

With a focus on innovation and simplicity, Pebl is making payments seamless for businesses of all sizes across the country.

How do I make a QR code for donations?

You can create a QR code for donations in Pebl by setting up a Donation Product in the app. The QR code can be exported and printed onto marketing materials like menus, posters, or flyers, making it easy for supporters to donate instantly. For step-by-step instructions, check out our help article here.

What if a volunteer doesn’t want the Pebl app on their phone?

No problem! Volunteers don’t need the Pebl app to help collect donations. They can simply direct donors to scan any printed Pebl QR codes—on posters, flyers, or other marketing materials—to complete their donation instantly. This makes it easy for anyone to support your cause without needing to download an app.

Pebl's charity customers find the combination of Tap to Pay on iPhone/Android + QR codes works really well!

What payment types can I accept with Pebl?

With Pebl, you can accept all major payment types, including Tap to Pay on iPhone & Android (contactless cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and QR code payments via credit/debit cards, PayID (instant bank transfer), and mobile wallets. Whether in person or via a shared payment link, Pebl makes it easy for customers to pay however they prefer.

What fees are involved?

Pebl keeps it simple—no setup costs, no monthly fees. You only pay a small, flat, 1.80% fee per card transaction. PayID transactions are $1.50 per transaction.

These fees can be surcharged onto the donor - whether by default or by the donor choosing to cover the transaction fee - making Pebl completely free to use.
